Gnometown!

Ok, we haven't actually added any gnomes to the shop today, I'm just obsessed with that Facebook game currently. It's a fun game, though you still need friends in order to complete quests etc. The most I've needed is four, so if you can muster up four friends you should be fine.

Meanwhile - "Gecko" and "Sea Turtle" have been added to the Clay Critter family. They are created with the new clay, so they have a different look to them. Gecko is long, and rivals Gothica for longest Critter. There are two different styles of Sea Turtle - one with a shell and one without. The shell's a mosaic of tiles and looks rather good. Crow is also working on creating some wedding presents. The couples will get our prototypes; however we'll be adding them to our inventory so you can order away when they're put in. "Fluffy" the fox, an Ox, a Cabbitt and two Star Trek-style communicators.

Lady Bug, Snail and Tree Frog should be finished tomorrow. I ran into some painting difficulties with Tree Frog, and kept getting Snail's base stuck to my work board. Just waiting for the center piece of Lady Bug's flower to dry, and Crow to create some body parts for the other two. I'll put the pictures up as soon as possible!

Frogs and Geckos

Today is cold and clear here, the sun is out but there's a crisp chill in the air reminding us autumn has arrived. The leaves are changing color and some of them are ahead of schedule, as they've already lost the majority of their foliage.

Crow is in the middle of creating two new Clay Critters to add to our family. Frog and Gecko will soon be joining our inventory. They're made with the new clay and so will have slightly different style than the original group. That's OK, we'll love them all the same!

Lady Bug, Snail and Frog are coming along slowly. It's cold here, so the paint hasn't dried as fast as I'd hoped; however the stands are almost done. We'll have to make a run to our local supply store to get some more colors for Frog (blue) and stuff for the stands.

Sundown

Well, we just put up the first of the Critter Clips. It is the floral design and looks great! Of course it's still a bit bulky so needs some improvement; however it does the job. If you have problems keeping your napkin on your lap or around your neck, these will ensure the napkin stays where you put it. They're useful for other things too.

The Knoblings are drying and waiting for a few pieces that I'm missing to complete them. They should be ready by the end of the week.

Flowers and Snails

Well, All Hallows' Eve is over and things are beginning to settle down again. Crow is working with a new type of clay, she's been practicing 'canes' all day and intends to add her new creations to the Critter Clips. They should look great if they don't explode in the oven! The Clay Critters are going to get some new looks (again, we're always seeking to prefect them) due to the new clay she's working with.

Today I worked on more knoblings - the set of three I started prior to All Hallows' Eve. I've decided to base the Frog after the Red-Eyed tree frog, which could prove interesting since it means we need red eyes. So we'll have to go hunting for them. For the snail, something a bit out of the ordinary brown ones I found the "White Lipped Snail", who has a brilliant yellow and black shell. The Lady Bug (my current favorite) will not break from the traditional; however I will leave it up to our fair readers to decide if Lady Bug is truly a Lady, or as from "A Bug's Life", a male ;). They should be done tomorrow.

Tomorrow is wind chime day, so if you have any requests feel free to send a message to us and I'll be happy to create something especially for you.
